[section=OK So what Does SIP mean?]

One of the best advantages of using SIP is that you will be able to reduce your monthly phone bills by huge amounts! You see SIP trunks don’t share the same costly infrastructure as tradition telephone lines like PSTN and ISDN, this means you can do much more for much less. SIP trunks are delivered over high speed broadband services only limited by available bandwidth. VoIP services should only be delivered over private IP providers where the broadband service does not use the public Internet.

[section=Things You Should Know]

1. In order to access the Service, you will need a dedicated fixed line broadband Internet connection, such as ADSL 2+ and you may need extra hardware depending on your set up e.g. router and switches. 2. We recommend that the Service be accessed with hardware supplied or approved by T Gen, using a broadband ADSL2+ or SHDSL service supplied by us to our specifications. The Service is designed to allow users to bring their own device, but T Gen do not offer any guarantee or assurance that all devices will be compatible and function with the Service. 3. The broadband speed required for the Service will depend largely on your network demands. Data transmission demands on your network may cause the bandwidth available for voice transmission to be limited if voice and data share the same connection. 4. Extra charges will be incurred for freight for any hardware. 5. Minimum 1 x DID numbers purchased or in blocks of 10. 6. Porting is charged per end user site.

 Please note important information about choosing your new phone numbers:
If you choose a number outside your local calling area, people calling you may be charged at STD rates by their service provider. You may not be able to port your number away if the gaining provider does not support out-of-area numbers, or if the gaining provider does not support local number portability. This information is provided as required by the Numbering Plan under the Telecommunications Act 1997.

Important information about your Service Address
Your Service Address is the primary location where you will use your services. This information will be used to provide Emergency Service Organisations your location in the case you call for 000 emergency help, and also in the event of a natural disaster or emergency broadcast warning. It is important that you keep your Service Address information current at all times by updating it via our customer portal when necessary.

* DID numbers: where 10 or more DID numbers are included in a plan, the number are provided in 10 Number Blocks. Number Blocks are sets of sequential numbers and cannot be split up – if you make a change, the change will apply to the whole block. Number blocks of more than 1 can only be guaranteed for Australian Capital Cities (subject to availability). If you wish to change your included DIDs to another Region, a once-off Administrative charge of $24.95 per change applies.
** Calls to 13 and 1300 numbers are charged at $0.33 per call un timed. Calls to 1800 numbers are free.
** Calls to Mobiles: are charged in 30 second blocks
